My front porch now has a fixed canopy. I had it installed because I love staying there for a very long time. Looking at my whole estate while sitting comfortable in one of the three rocking chairs in my porch reminds me of how far I have come. I know how hard I worked to succeed in what I do, and whatever I have right now is a fruit of my sweat, tears and blood. Also, since my retirement, I went back to a former hobby-reading. We availed of the Wine Lovers Weekend last March. It was awesome. We had champagne and fresh flowers. Galena chocolates are so tempting. We were able to stay at the parlors and the gardens. My husband and I planned what we were going to do within the next 5 years, our goals and visions and a sneak peak of decades to come. I had some moment, while staring at those lovely trees - I cried a tear. The moment was real and so true.

We also tried the hot air balloon which took off at the northeast area of the property. It was exhilarating! I have never been happier in all my life. A big chunk of that is because I just got married and then, again, I say - this hotel. None of the other Galena Hotels can match it.

My father seems to love stairs. When he built our house, it is full of uncountable steps going to almost everywhere. Some are as short as having two steps, and some are winding with almost 20 steps. Maybe, during that time, stairs are the new talk of the town, that’s why my father filled our house with them. Also, one thing that my father is addicted at is cement. Our house is made of cement all over. The walls, floor, and even the chairs in the lawn are made of cement. The Stair railing is also made of cement. Just imagine how our house looks like! It is very primitive-looking, and it is not elegant at all.

When my father died, my mother asked me to live with her. The house is too big for her and I also think that it is necessary that somebody is looking out for her. And so we agreed to come and live with her. However, we thought that the house needs some changes to make it suitable for kids and for the time as well. We asked my mother of we can make some renovations and she agreed.

We only did little changes. We have an Iron Gate installed since the old one is already rusty. Also, we changed the color of some walls, and we bought new appliances. The renovation did the house well. I hope that my father is also loving the new look of the house he loved so much.
