My front porch now has a fixed canopy. I had it installed because I love staying there for a very long time. Looking at my whole estate while sitting comfortable in one of the three rocking chairs in my porch reminds me of how far I have come. I know how hard I worked to succeed in what I do, and whatever I have right now is a fruit of my sweat, tears and blood. Also, since my retirement, I went back to a former hobby-reading. I can drown myself in books for many hours. It frees my imagination and keeps my mind working.

However, since I am no longer as young and healthy as I was when I built this home, I realized that I need to have sun screens in my porch to protect me from the harmful rays of the sun. Now, that the sun’s heat seems to be at its highest, I find it very uncomfortable to stay in the porch for a long time. This makes me sad because it is my favorite part of the house. 

I am very happy that after the canopy was installed, I could already get back to hang out in my porch all day.
