If ever you are in Galena, Illinois and you are looking for a place to eat and sleep, try this wonderful Galena bed and breakfast my husband and I stayed at for our honeymoon. The place is so lovely and the service extended to us was above excellent - if there is such a term. I will always remember how romantic those 3 days were for us and a lot of that was due to the Mansion.

We availed of the Wine Lovers Weekend last March. It was awesome. We had champagne and fresh flowers. Galena chocolates are so tempting. We were able to stay at the parlors and the gardens. My husband and I planned what we were going to do within the next 5 years, our goals and visions and a sneak peak of decades to come. I had some moment, while staring at those lovely trees - I cried a tear. The moment was real and so true.

We also tried the hot air balloon which took off at the northeast area of the property. It was exhilarating! I have never been happier in all my life. A big chunk of that is because I just got married and then, again, I say - this hotel. None of the other Galena Hotels can match it.
