I know that I need to have new servers put in my building but it is just not that easy. I currently have some that were used servers to begin with and have lasted just fine for ten years. Now, my staff wants me to pay for new servers that have a warranty included with them. I have no idea how long I can put them off but I am going to hold out for as long as possible.

My secretary has suggested that we just buy some used servers again and go another ten years and I am all for that but the guy that I got the used poweredge servers from last time is no longer in business. I would have to find a completely different supplier and that is probably not going to be that easy.

My secretary laughed at me when I told her the whole computer supplier story and then punched up something on her computer and told me to look at it. It was a website that sold used poweredge servers with a warranty and that had prices about seventy percent below the retail price of any new servers out there today. I was able to convince my staff to go with this or have nothing and they all agree that this would do for now.
