My parents hired a Colorado window company to put all new windows in their house. I had always thought that the house would look much better with new windows, but my parents never had the money to do it. I knew that my father had just gotten a bonus at work and they had decided that this was what they wanted to do with it.

I remember when I was a kid growing up in that house and my parents would put plastic up over the windows every winter because they were so old. I am sure that they are both looking forward to not having to do that ever again.

My mother has always wanted a deck too, but the windows are a much wiser choice than a deck. I called my two sisters and told them that we should get our parents a new deck for Christmas. They both loved the idea and I called a Colorado deck company to give us and estimate of what it would cost. The Colorado deck company gave me the estimate, and once we approved it, built the deck within two weeks. It was an early Christmas present but my parents absolutely loved it.
