Many times when you want to cook your favorite food you just struck in between the selection of dishes and sometimes from where to begin? Some people watch television programs based on Indian Food, some people watch Indian Food Videos, and some people refer cookery books to make different dishes and cuisines. But some people can afford these items and some cannot. But do not panic; leave all your worries aside! You may find many basic spices at home, in your cupboard. You surely have many items that you need to cook food. 

For instance, search for black pepper, chilli powder, bay leaves, nutmeg, cloves, ground ginger, and cinnamon. You can use alternatives of these food items like when you want to make Hyderabadi Biryanis and you do not have the basmati rice available with you then you can also use any Indian Rice that you normally use. The fragrance and taste of that rice will be the same and you will get an alternative also. 

The ingredients that are common in all the Indian Recipes are coriander, cardamom, turmeric, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. You may often get the ground coriander and cumin seeds and if you purchase the entire spices, if necessary you can also grind them. These spices are also used to prevent the food for longer time. So these are the way you can start a simple and a delicious cooking at home when you are not having any recipes or ingredients available with you, by simple spices available at home mixed with vegetables you can cook a tasteful and fruitful curries.
