Children are by nature very curious. They love to learn new things. At very tender age when their most favorite place must be their home and toys, they start going to nurseries or kindergarten.
Children have to adjust there to a completely new environment and new people. One of the prime reasons is that out of inherent curiosity they do not find new things and new people annoying. All efforts are made so that the children feel comfortable there.
Some basic facts which are always kept in mind in designing a place for tiny-tots include children-friendly environment, smooth surfaces and continuous monitoring of all inwards. Children do not have pre-conceived notions, they will readily accept things which may seem ridiculous to many. Children will enjoy seeing an elephant riding over an aircraft or a frog driving a car.
Meticulous attention should be paid to the lines and color-scheme. Of course, the facilities of activity lessons and some learning aids should be there. Children are attracted by bright colors but if all the things are in bright colors it will look rather clumsy and heavy. Smooth outlines give a feeling of gliding. Not only surfaces must be smooth but all corners of tables, chairs and other things too must be smooth and well-rounded so that the children don’t get hurt.
Children are not like grown-up people and don’t make many demands. They are sweet and they want sweet treatment with them. They do not offend anyone and do not like to be offended. In fact, keeping them pleasant gives us a pleasure.
